The Menu was designed to
illustrate some of the most important people and
institutions which have impacted our lives as
African Americans in Maryland and throughout the
Country but, most importantly in Baltimore City.
It's a way that we to can reflect on the past,
and to look forward to our future. We pay
tribute to the people who have contributed so
much and we honor them in this way so that they
never slip from our memories. We hope that one
day the torch can be passed on to our kids who
are our future leaders. That's why if you order
a "Laketrout",it's
now known as a "Doris Williams".
The founder and creator of the world's famous
Lake trout. That's right...Ms. Williams, God
Bless her Soul, created this inspiration of
food.
She put countless kids
through College and employed over 100
rehabilitated people whom were previously shut
out of main stream employment opportunities.
Ms. Williams beat the odds as a successful
business women who did so much, but never
asked for anything in return.
Our menu will grow and their
names will forever live on. In many ways, we
await the day that your name may grace it as
well. By the way...4 wings and fries are known
as a "Chicken Head". We apologize to
all the Chicken heads who may have taken
offence to this. Smile and be happy. Hey we
are adding the following names to the Menu
very soon: The Softones, The Basement Boys and
City College. More names will be added to the
Menu in the Future.
